10 step Steam Carpet Cleaning process:

Step     1: Inspection
We do a walk through, listen
for any concerns and pay close attention to any troubled areas. At this time we also communicate our process and course of action.

Step     2: Pre-Vac (Optional)
We proceed to vacuum with our commercial professional grade Kirby, vacuuming most solids. This is very important in steam carpet cleaning as approximately 80% are insoluble soils meaning they will not break down with solvents. Examples are hair, clay, sand, etc...
This gives optimal carpet cleaning results as the next step will work better on dirt and grime.

Step    3: Pre-spray
Removing the solid soils in the steam carpet cleaning process like sand and debris pave the way for the
work horse in carpet cleaning, the Pre-Spray. With the solids gone this allows the pre-spray to better break down the remaining soils like dirt, grease, food, etc...
We use top of the line
ECO friendly green carpet cleaning Pre-spray that is standardly boosted with citrus and oxygen yet biodegradable and non-toxic. With proper dwell time in carpet emulsifies and suspends the soil for carpet cleaning extraction.

Step    4: Agitation
Agitation is either performed with a carpet care brush or by the rotary carpet cleaning extraction machine depending on soil level and carpet cleaning option chosen. This does two things, one it works the Pre-spray into the carpet and
second it helps break down and separate the dirt from the fibers.

Step    5: Hot Water Extraction
The carpet cleaning extraction/rinse is dependent on the cleaning option
chosengiving you either 5 spray jet rinse extraction or high water flow flushing extraction. This washes, steams and vacuums away the debris and contaminants including the green cleaning agents used to break down the soils. This HWE cleaning is recommended by carpet manufactures.
This is similar to your rinse cycle when washing your clothes.

Step    6: Post Spot
Deeply embedded spots in carpet receive spot removal treatment to further loosen and release troubled areas from the carpet with either a potent spotting solution spray or a spotting bar. This along with the previous steps gives proper carpet care chemistry and procedure for complete removal of contaminants.

Step    7: Specialty Spot i.e.
Kool Aid (Optional)
This is where specialty chemistry and technique are used to either remove or neutralize specialty stains like kool aid, ink, rust, etc... that normally do not come out during the carpet steam cleaning process. Though your carpet is now clean, fibers may be permanently stained changing the fiber characteristics needing special care and procedure.

Step    8: Apply Protector (Optional)
Protector is sprayed and worked into the carpet after the steam cleaning to
insure
an even application. This allows you to keep your carpet cleaner and fresher longer by putting an invisible shield around each fiber helping your carpet repel and resist soils and stains by not allowing them to bond with the carpet fibers. This non-toxic Dupont Advanced Protector w/ Teflon is of the highest quality which makes us one of the best carpet cleaning companies around.

Step    9: Speed Dry (Optional)
With air mover/s following behind each room or area steamed cleaned greatly increases the carpet dry time. This is due to the high air flow blasting over the carpet pile often leaving the carpet dry to the touch by the end of the carpet cleaning service.

Step 10: Groom (If Requested)
Though most customers love the look and feel of their carpets recently steamed cleaned. Some prefer not to have wand marks (shark teeth) or rotary swirls on the carpet. If requested we will groom the carpet pile with our carpet rake showing little or no sign of marks after the steam carpet cleaning. This carpet raking is also is done automatically when applying carpet protector.

Over time the mill-applied carpet protectors can loose their effectiveness. This is due to the fibers being abraded during foot traffic. Although the fluoro-chemical treatments are very good, it is believed that they need to be replenished after approximately 2 years, especially in high-traffic areas after recommended steam carpet cleaning. The fluoro-chemical applied in the mill can wear off over time, and portions of the fiber can be exposed during abrasion that were not exposed during the mill treatment. The application of Teflon® Advanced after steam carpet cleaning will ensure that the performance of the fiber will be maintained. We recommend that Teflon® Advanced be applied after every steam carpet cleaning.

It's always a pleasure to see how bright and clean your carpets look right after they've been professionally steam carpet cleaned.
